Thailand Privilege Card Company Limited or Elite Card, a subsidiary of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently launched a membership program for the Thailand Privilege Card or the Elite Flexible One Card - a new version of Elite card. The program period is from 1 January, 2021 to 31 December, 2022.
Foreigners who buy an Elite card or become a member of the Elite Flexible One card at the starting cost of 500,000 baht, which is more affordable compared to other types of elite card, within that period will be granted a visa for 5 years. This is the exclusive benefit from the Elite Card.
The offers are very tempting. Foreigners only need to purchase residential properties (In this case referring to condominiums) worth no less than 10 million baht in total. This applies for both freehold and leasehold in order to join the program and receive visa benefits.
The term " buy properties with no less than 10 million baht in total amount " must be clarified. The Elite card according to this program, as the name implies, Elite Flexible One means that it is an Elite card that offers great flexibility in buying properties that can be "mixed in price" In this case, you can buy condos at the price. 3 + 3 + 4 million or 5 + 5 million or 7 + 4 million baht. It is ok as long as the buyer is under the same name, the person can buy one or 3-4 rooms as long as the value is above 10 million baht, he/she can immediately purchase an Elite Flexible One card.
There are at least 12 leading real estate companies and 60 projects in total agreed to join this program. Among those, there are 4 projects from Sena Development PCL which are Niche Pride Taopoon - Interchange, Niche Mono Sukhumvit - Bearing, Niche Mono Sukhumvit - Puchao, and Niche Mono Charoen Nakorn. The Thailand Privilege Card states that the feedback is better than expected. The performance in the first four months of fiscal year 2021 from October 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021 has reached sales of 2,066 Elite Cards from the whole year target of 2,607 cards, which is equal to 80% of the target sales performance for the whole year.
